Lamar Lawson

Lamar Lawson - AaronBeats.com Featured ArtistLamar Lawson, known on the stage as L, is an energetic R&B singer/ songwriter. Born on June 17, 1988 in Southeast Washington D.C, now living in Mitchellville, Maryland, has devoted his life to music. He has made countless songs working diligently to perfect his craft.

“Dreamin” “Truth Revealed”

Lamar was born into a life of music. He has been singing since he was 5 years old. His father, James Lawson, was a professional drummer for Motown records. Lamar grew up singing in his church choir and school chorus. While in the church choir he sang countless solos because of his amazing voice. In his school chorus he sang the leading parts at concerts that the chorus would host. Lamar also sang in bands, Justice and NIV. Both were gospel groups. Justice was a hip-hop group of Kettering Baptist Church. They performed concerts at many churches across Maryland and parts of D.C. Justice later became NIV. NIV was a gospel Go-Go group in which Lamar was the lead singer. NIV also performed also at many churches across Maryland and D.C. NIV hit its peak when they were asked to be the main band at a Christian convention. Lamar’s soulful vocals kept the audience glued to the performance and on their feet.

Lamar’s plan to succeed in the music business is to make it onto a major record label. He plans to work as hard as possible to make this happen. He will share his music through the internet, selling his CDs, sending his music in to radio stations for possible air time, and sending demo CDs in to record labels in search for a deal. Lamar says, “I just want to share my gift that God has given me with others. I just love to entertain”. With his patience, hard work, and passion for music he believes that this will happen. Success is what you put into it. For Lamar, music is not a hobby. It is his life.
Now with his new CD coming out, self -titled L, it is sure to make records label everywhere go crazy. With hit singles like, You Got Me Like, My Room, and Vital Signs, he is sure to sail to the top. Everyone who hears his songs instantly falls in love with them, and him. This very talented, humble individual will not settle until he can share his gift with the world.
Lamar is a special, loveable, outrageously talented person. Any label would be lucky to have him. He is a down to Earth hard working individual who would make any label millions. Other artist, such as O and Kay say that Lamar is a great singer/ songwriter/ performer. Be sure to keep up with Lamar for upcoming music and shows. He is a rising Star. Remember, for Lamar music is not a hobby, it’s his life.

Why is he using antares? I think he needs to try singin without it and thats where the real talent is. Im about to purchase a couple beats and turn them into some rueben studdard type stuff. LOL! Im not hatin, im just tired of people makin it rich cuz of a pitch corrector. If they had talent they would show it. T-Pain can get by with it cuz he got swagg like a muh.

Pkid and Big Pudge are right! And I like the songs, their arrangement and everything. But … I use the effect cause I can’t sing. I’m a rapper. And I do put a lil of it on other artist voices because it’s ‘in’. But it’s true, if you can really blow, you don’t need it and you shouldn’t want it added-in on that level. It’s too much. And his voice is recorded too low. All that said … it’s still hot and commercial as hell; so it should sell.

Im sorry but i dnt like it, the beats are really good, but he cant sing. Everybody thinks they can sing, and i know a good voice and im not really feelin it, i feel bad for saying that. Well hold on maybe he can sing but just not on these songs, im sorry, i just dont see it. But i mean hey do what you do if it feels good to you.

Lamar you are truly gifted. Your songwriting ability is outstanding. I am either attracted to a song because of the music, the words or both. I love your overall production and know you have what it takes to get a record deal real soon. I do feel your voice should stick out more. The machine makes it blend in with the music too much and you sing way too good to not headline your song. I do however feel it won’t hurt your chances for being the next big star. You definitely have what it takes.

"No doubt Aaron B.'s talents blessed my career a great deal. From day one this cat's production has boosted my lyrical high and creativity just so the words and the track are compatible. On my next solo joint "Ryme 4 Reason" he got 8 out of 13 tracks on the album and with his addition peeps are labelin' this a underground masterpiece, Thanks Beezy you did it on this one homie!
